In 2018 we have recorded our new album in popular Brazilian music style "Choro". Igor Barboi Trio has unusual instrumental setup, consisting of Accordion, Violoncello and Guitar.

On this CD you will find our favourite songs from great Brasil performers and composers - for instance Sivuca, Dominguinhos, Pixinguinha, W. Azevedo and A. Carrilho.

The idea for the album came from our audience, because on our concerts we were frequently asked for a CD. "Choro" is not very known style of music in Czech Republic, so we decided to make the selection of the best songs for the playlist.

The album is available on BandCamp

Despretensioso, it is the work by instrumentalist Igor Barboi, an accordionist from the Czech Republic and a researcher of Brazilian musical culture.  In this album produced by Paulista, Igor interprets 10 themes by the composer and multi-instrumentalist, João Silva, Sillva do Bandolim, from the Vale do Paraíba region inland São Paulo, distributed by the Underground Samba Lapa label for all digital platforms, starting in January from 2023.

The idea for the album came up during Igor Barboi's visit to Rio de Janeiro in November 2022. During this season in Brazil, Igor went to meet his friend Paulista's Apê Estudio who, during the pandemic in the 2020/2021 years, met on Instagram.  Paulista, observing Igor's musical sensibility, showed João Silva's repertoire of choros from Mandolinista.  Igor immediately accepted the challenge and embraced the idea.

The album is now available on SpotifyYouTube and BandCamp
